This project began as an exploration of physical computing
and our use of the internet of things to augment our
day-to-day lives. With this app, users are encouraged to care
for their plants while receiving rewards for doing so.
Emily, for example, loves houseplants
but has a knack for killing them. Luckily, she is always attached to her
phone. So when Henry the houseplant is running low on water, a notification
pops up on her home screen, and with a click of a button she can water
Henry via a physical device attached to the plant. Keeping a plant healthy
for a long time unlocks new recipes or information on the species.
